Where we are

Just a 35 minute drive from the centre of Canberra, we are located at 1 Patemans Lane, Murrumbateman.

Christmas Closure

The team at Dionysus Winery will close the cellar door from 21 December and reopen Saturday 9 January 2021. Online sales will still be available during this time.

Cellar Door

The cellar door is open from 11am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays as well as most NSW public holidays.  We are closed on Good Friday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. 

Michael is generally at the winery during the week and welcomes visitors outside our normal opening times.  Please call Michael on 0411 730 724 to arrange a time for a visit.

Self Paced and Spaced Tasting Experience

We are offering self paced and spaced wine tasting experiences for visitors to the cellar door. The cellar door has been redesigned to meet social distancing and other COVID safe guidelines. You will receive the first tasting in a glass followed by six 20ml bottles of wine to taste at your leisure. Seats are available in the cellar door (limited), under the pergola, in the winery or in the vineyard. Please bring warm clothes on a cold day as we are unable to provide our usual blankets due to safe practices. You also have the option of purchasing an individual cheese plate to go with your tasting.

The cost of the self paced and spaced tasting experience is $5 per person. Each person who purchases a bottle of wine will have the fee waived.

NSW Health Covid safe guidelines allow groups of up to ten people. Groups of 11 people or more will not be accepted. We apologise for any inconvenience. If you would like to book this experience online please go to the make a booking tab on this website.

For groups of ten or more people we have developed a couple of group tasting options to ensure that your visit to Dionysus Winery meets all your needs. You can book directly using our experiences page or calling 0411 730 724.

A cheese and wine experience

At Dionysus Winery we offer the opportunity to sample our wines, followed by time to relax and enjoy a glass of wine with a  cheese plate.  This offer is $25 per person.  Bookings are preferred. Please book using the 'make a booking' tab on this website or email admin@dionysus-winery.com.au 

Coffee and Cheese

Dionysus Winery cheese plates are something to take the hunger pains away as you spend the day visiting the region. The cheese plates have three gourmet cheeses, home made quince paste, dried fruit, nuts and crackers.

We also have a small selection of sweet treats - biscuits, slices etc.

Dionysus Winery has teamed up with local coffee roasters, Ideal Coffee, to have a special blend of arabica beans roasted each week for the winery.
