Riedel Varietal Glass Workshop (Sunday 21 August 2.00pm – 4.00pm)
There's a big claim that Riedel wine glasses make a big difference to the favour experience of the wine based on the size and shape. When Wendy first heard this claim she thought it was a lot of piffle and then she did the Riedel Varietal Wine Glass workshop and was blown away by the impact the glass has on the wine tasting experience. If you don't believe it then this is your chance to try it for yourself. It's incredible!
Different wine varieties have different characters and flavour profiles. The size and shape of whatever vessel you use – whether that's a RIEDEL glass or plastic cup – will alter the way you senses perceive the wine.
During the workshop you will taste four wines from multiple glasses including one designed specifically for that variety. We will be experiencing Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz in the workshop. You will get to keep the four glasses (RRP $220).
Matching cheeses will be served and other food is available for purchase. Cost to members and one guest is $125, additional guests $140 per person.
